Questions, answered

Thinking about calling someone out, or just coming to watch? Start here.

Fighting

Do I need any boxing experience?

No. Most Old Rivals fighters have never stepped into a ring. Once you are matched you get at least six weeks to train with a coach before your bout.

Who can I call out?

Anyone you have an old score to settle with: from school, sport, work, your street or the family. The only rules are that it stays friendly, there are no exes, and both of you say yes before you are matched.

What happens after I register?

You get your fighter card straight away, ready to share to Instagram or Facebook. If you added your rival's email, we send them an invite to step up. Once you are both registered, we match you for an upcoming fight night.

How long until I fight?

Fighters wait on a list until there are enough good match ups to fill a card. Every fighter gets at least six weeks' notice to train, so the earlier you register, the better your chance of being on the next night.

What if my rival won't sign up?

Post your card and let everyone who knows you both do the talking. If they still won't step up, give Glen or Steve a call and we will talk through your options.

Can I change my details later?

Yes. Log in to your fighter profile to update your tale of the tape or photo, then share your new card.

Should I see a doctor first?

Yes. See your GP before you start training and tell them you are preparing for a boxing bout. It takes ten minutes and it is the smartest thing you will do all camp.

Tickets and the night

When and where is the next fight night?

Saturday 12 December 2026, 5 to 9pm, at Last Man Standing Brewery, 67 Castlemaine St, Milton.

What tickets are there?

Sponsor table $5,000, VIP table $3,000, Barrel for 4 $300 a person, General admission $70. Tables and barrels come with a 4 hour premium drinks package.

Can my business sponsor the night?

Yes. A sponsor table is $5,000 and includes front row table for 10, 4 hour premium drinks package, your brand on the livestream and sponsor wall, ringside interview with ring announcer Peter Fegan, video of your night to keep. Call Glen to book one.

Can I fill a table with my mates or my team?

That is the best way to do it. VIP tables seat 10 and barrels take 4, both with the drinks package. Bring the people you would want in your corner anyway.

The cause

Where does the money go?

Ten per cent of ticket sales goes to Brave Brothers, supporting men's mental health. A bigger crowd means a bigger result.

I need to talk to someone now. Who can I call?

Call Lifeline on 13 11 14 or Beyond Blue on 1300 22 4636, any time of day. You don't have to wait for fight night.
